Czech Stop – West
When traveling I-35 between Dallas and Austin (as so many Texans do), a pit stop at exit 353 in West for Czech Stop kolaches is pretty much a must. The Dallas kids that go to UT Austin and travel the same route on every school holiday will tell you that Czech Stop has the best kolaches in Texas. And if the almost-always-full-to-capacity-parking lot is any indication, these students from Dallas might just be right. Among the 10-plus varieties of kolaches available, noteworthy flavors include any of the fruit fillings with cream cheese, and the sausage, cheese and jalapeño combo.
