Marfa Lights Festival September 5-7
Marfa, Texas, is known for having mysterious lights that illuminate the sky. These mysterious lights play host to a festival held every year. Visitors can experience the mystery of the lights as well as food, craft and art vendors, music and street dance entertainment.The festival is held on Labor Day Weekend on the Marfa Courthouse grounds, admission is FREE.
The intriguing town boasts other artsy attractions that make the trip worthwhile: Prada Marfa, a free standing Prada boutique, is located in the middle of nowhere and is never open due to it being a piece of art, plus more modern art galleries such as the Chianti Foundation.
