Where to Stay

From award-winning, select-service properties to resort-style hotels, there are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to where to stay in Frisco. Here are some of our favorites.

Omni Frisco Hotel

The Omni Frisco Hotel is an unexpected gem in Frisco. Featuring 300 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, this luxury 16-story hotel serves as the cornerstone of The Star, anchored by the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and Training Facility and a 12,000-seat stadium, Ford Center. More than a football fan’s paradise, this 91-acre entertainment district offers exciting dining, nightlife, and shopping just steps from the hotel. It should come as no surprise, but is certainly worth noting, that this is the official hotel of the Dallas Cowboys. That’s definitely something worth writing home about!

Omni Frisco Hotel

Upon arrival, you will want to hurry and check-in because you’ve got a lot of ground to cover. With an elevated pool deck and several top-notch food and beverage experiences, you may never want to leave!

Canopy by Hilton

Located just down the road from The Star and mere minutes from endless shopping, dining and entertainment, Canopy by Hilton offers a local experience with a boutique-hotel feel. The Just-Right Rooms have a positively local vibe with modern ranch-style décor. And did we mention, when you arrive, Canopy will greet you with a sweet treat!

Once you’re settled in, grab a complimentary Canopy bike and tour the neighborhood. Swing by Canopy’s bar each evening to sample the area’s best wines, craft beers, and signature cocktails.

Hyatt Regency Frisco

Just steps away from 200 shops and restaurants at Stonebriar Centre mall, the all-new Hyatt Regency Frisco is the place to stay for an upscale getaway. Check in and retreat to one of the 303 rooms spread across 16 floors, all connected to Stonebriar Centre. The rooms feature oversized windows overlooking Frisco, and the 34 Regency Suites offer expanded living space.

With amenities like the outdoor pool, fitness center, and two on-site dining options, the Hyatt Regency Frisco is what staycation dreams are made of!

Where to Shop

Frisco is a fashionista’s dream! If shopping is at the top of your to-do list, check out Frisco’s more than 9 million square feet of retail throughout the city.

Stonebriar Centre

To kick off your weekend, we recommend heading over to Stonebriar Centre, where everyone is sure to find something to suit their fancy! Boasting the closest Nordstrom to Oklahoma City and Macy’s Personal Shopping Service, plus Dick’s Sporting Goods and Dave & Buster’s, Stonebriar Centre provides the perfect backdrop for family fun (and treasured finds!).

Just walking distance from Stonebriar Centre is one of our favorite accessory stores, Sam Moon Trading Co.! If you’ve worn through your weekender bag or are looking for some fun jewelry to spice things up, Sam Moon is the answer!

IKEA

Also within walking distance, but you’ll probably want a car for your purchases, is IKEA. If you’ve never set foot in an IKEA, you’re missing out big time! This home décor megastore is known for contemporary designs that make the most of small spaces.

Main Street Shopping in Frisco’s Rail District is another must. This area, rich in history, is where you’ll find some of the most unique shopping in the metroplex. Full of fun boutiques with trendy fashion and stunning home décor, you can spend an entire afternoon exploring the offerings of Main Street.

Check out Lone Star Trading Company, selling a variety of wrought iron furniture and accessories as well as custom wood designs.

At Frisco Mercantile, 250 different boutique suites are expertly packed into 38,000 square feet of shopping bliss.

Where to Eat

Tupelo Honey

The culinary scene in Frisco is all about combining southern charm with the classics you love. From Cane Rosso and Neighborhood Services to Tupelo Honey and Mi Cocina, there is truly something for every palate (or picky eater!).

If you’re looking to feast on some southern comfort food, look no further than Tupelo Honey at The Star. Bringing Appalachian charm to Texas, Tupelo Honey serves up scratch food that varies from season to season and by location, giving us the perfect excuse to dine there all the time! If you go at lunch time, don’t pass up the $0.79 martini lunch special. Trust us on this.

Eight11 Place

Eight11 Place is a locally owned, unique wine bar and kitchen located in Historic Downtown Frisco. Winner of Living Magazine’s Readers Choice Best Wine Bar and Best Patio, Eight11 is the perfect place to kick back and relax while enjoying superb wine and craft beer, or snack on food that warms the soul. Plus, enjoy daily happy hour specials and live music Wednesday-Saturday nights.

Locally sourced, Texas ingredients, and old world inspiration—sounds like The Heritage Table! Located in a 1917 converted Victorian home, the experience at The Heritage Table is just what you can expect from a true neighborhood restaurant. With their scratch kitchen and full bar, you can find all the responsibly-sourced, homemade food, plus craft beers and innovative cocktails that you could want.

Cow Tipping Creamery

If you’re looking to sweeten up your trip, swing by Cow Tipping Creamery for a takeout treat to go. Born in Austin, the creamery is bringing their soft serve ice cream along with unique, scratch-made twists on traditional ice cream toppings to Frisco. Our favorite is their spin on the chocolate and peanut butter combo, Reese’s Witha’Spoon. Plus, Cow Tipping has a delicious, new flavor of the week, so every visit is a different adventure!

When in Frisco, a regular ‘ole cup of Joe just won’t do. Swing by and get a fresh brew to-go at Summer Moon Coffee on Main Street where they roast their coffee beans by wood fire using none other than Texas Oak. The roasting process results in a smooth, balanced coffee and goes perfectly with their signature sweet cream, Moon Milk.

Hutchins BBQ

In the mood for BBQ? Check out one of Texas Monthly’s top 50 BBQ Joints in the State—Hutchins BBQ! You can smell the smoky goodness when you pull into the parking lot. Serving a classic BBQ menu, Hutchins’ menu stands out with the brisket burnt ends, which everyone knows is the best part!

Texas Sculpture Garden

Frisco’s growing public art trail includes the nationally recognized Texas Sculpture Garden. And no visit to Frisco would be complete without learning about Frisco’s rich history at the Frisco Heritage Center, standing alongside “Big Boy” at the Museum of the American Railroad or playing Pong on the world’s largest home Pong console at the National Videogame Museum.

Frisco also features more than 90 miles of paved and natural trails that actually lead The League of American Bicyclists to name Frisco a “Bicycle Friendly” Community in 2016. Not sure which trails to cycle? Connect with the Shawnee Trail Cycling Club to join one of their daily rides throughout Frisco.
