Fredericksburg, Texas has taken ShopAcrossTexas.com by storm with its retail. The city had overwhelming results from our Best Stores in Texas Survey that came out this summer. The charming town proudly displayed it’s title as the “Best” by making a float for the Gillespie County Fair. The float was put together by the Best Stores in town: Beulah’s, Homestead, Red, Root and Something Different II.
What are you doing this weekend? We must tell you about the First Friday Fredericksburg Art Walk (happening August, 7). The first Friday of every month, ten fine art galleries stay open until 8 pm so you can visit, shop and stroll the various events and exhibitions throughout the day.
The star artists this month is native Texan, Chuck Mauldin. Look for his colorful oil paintings of all sizes including 12 – 6×8 miniatures.
Fredericksburg also boasts some of the Best Retail in a Small town as well as some great wine! Wine bars are located throughout Main Street, stop in a sip some Texas wine.
