Date in Grapevine: DIY Blown Glass Hearts & Flowers for VDay!

Handblown glass hearts and red roses.

Owner, David Gappa (right) showing a student the techniques of glassblowing.

We love this idea! Take your sweetie to Vetro Art Glass in Grapevine where you can make your very own glass heart or flower for Valentine’s Day!

It’s $25 to make a flower and $35 to make a heart, and you can choose your colors, apply the color to the molten glass and (if you’re 16 or over) you can heat the molten glass in the furnace. The Vetro experts will take it from there to ensure your creation is picture perfect!

The event is available Fridays & Saturdays 10am-5pm & Sundays noon-4pm thru February 14.

*Remember, your creation will have to cool for 24 hours, so take that into account if you’re planning on gift-giving.
