This weekend I was shopping at the West Village. See’s Candies  has opened up a holiday store in the old Paul Frank location. For those of who don’t know, Warren Buffet owns part of this old-time candy company. The reason why you MUST get to the temp location fast (besides the free samples) is it’s the ONLY location where you can register to win a trip to Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder’s meeting in his hometown of Omaha, NE. See’s Candies in the West Village is only open till December 31.
P.S. another fact about See’s: this episode in I Love Lucy where Lucy and Ethel get a job in the chocolate factory, was filmed in the original See’s Candies factory. The outfits they have on are the same the ladies wear today!

Fresh flowers make any table, bathroom, living room, etc. smell and look fabulous. And if we could buy fresh flowers everyday, you know we would! An insider at Shop Across Texas found the best deal and we had to let you in on it. Central Market (one of our favorite places to shop in Texas) sells the individual flowers that didn’t make it into a bouquet for a quarter! Talk about a deal! They’re labeled as “kid’s flowers” because they’re not long-stemmed, but perfect for a short, square vase to go on your table top for the holidays!
