Dallas – Casa Linda Bakery
Dallasites are driving from all over the Metroplex to get their hands on the sweet treats at Casa Linda Bakery. Touted as the source for the “best petit fours in Dallas,” the Casa Linda Bakery also has an exceptionally friendly staff, which is always helpful when you’re looking for that perfect confection to please your party guests. Casa Linda has a very devoted following, some of whom say they “will drive 2 hours to get a cake from Casa Linda because they are simply the best.” So head on over to East Dallas to see what all the fuss is about.
Dallas – Celebrity Bakery
With several locations around the Metroplex, there’s no excuse not to sample a tasty treat from Celebrity Bakery. Perfect for a ladies’ lunch, Celebrity offers a great variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The hand-decorated cookies are always a favorite, as are the “thumbprint” cookies.
Dallas – Chocolate Secrets
A shopping trip would not be complete without sharing secrets! Chocolate Secrets is filled with chocolate, bliss, and wine, and is not far from Highland Park Village and downtown Dallas. Chocolate Secrets sells irresistible handmade, hand-dipped gourmet chocolates. There are truffles, bars, fondue, chocolate dipped fruit, chocolate covered nuts, and fudge. There are dark chocolates, milk chocolates, and white chocolates. There are chocolates for cooking, drinking, and drizzling. There are boutique wines, crepes, and French pastries and desserts, too.
Dallas – Crème de la Cookie
Crème de la Cookie is one of our favorite spot in Dallas to pick up everything from cake balls to ice cream sandwiches. It’s a Park Cities treat that is not to be missed.
Dallas – JD’s Chippery
Cookies, muffins, and fresh squeezed lemonade are the key ingredients for this local Dallas success. The morning breeze at JD’s Chippery blows the scent of the freshly made cookies and warm muffins with varieties such as semi-sweet chocolate chip, semi-sweet chips with nuts, white chocolate, milk chocolate, snicker doodle, peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, m&m, coco-mac, and sugar cookies. The muffins boast varieties such as bran, blueberry, blueberry oat bran, apple spice, oatmeal raisin, pumpkin, pineapple, double chocolate, ham and cheese, cranberry nut, banana nut, walnutty, double cheese, oat branana, and carrot apple raisin bran.
Dallas – Nothing Bundt Cake
As you might have guessed from the name, Nothing Bundt Cake serves Bundt cake exclusively. Choose from a single-serving mini Bundt cake to a tiered Bundt cake for your next party—you won’t be disappointed. We’re partial to the lemon flavor topped with cream cheese frosting.
Dallas – Society Bakery
Nothing tastes sweeter than eating for a good cause. Voted “One of the Top Ten Cupcakes in America” by Ellen DeGeneres, Society Bakery is truly a delight, with specialty treats such as apple turnovers, banana pudding bowls, chocolate petit fours, and of course, a wide variety of cupcakes that can be specialized for any occasion. Society Bakery also donates to charities such as the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Cancer for Kids, and many more. Stop in for award-winning treats and eat for a worthy cause.
Dallas – Sprinkles
One of our favorite ways to take an afternoon break is with a cupcake from Sprinkles. The flavors change weekly, but after much yummy research we found you can never go wrong with the red velvet.
Dallas – Stein’s Bakery
and a special treat called a “cheese pocket” sparks addictions every day. If you’re planning on bringing treats from Stein’s to an occasion, make sure you buy more than enough—Stein’s treats seem to disappear quickly.
Dallas – The Cake Ball Company
What started as a secret family recipe has resulted in one of Dallas’ sweet sensations. In a range of flavors from the traditional (German chocolate, red velvet, brownie) to the seasonal (lemon and piña colada), The Cake Ball Company has a variety to delight every palate. Prepare to indulge that sweet tooth of yours, but know that you can’t stop with just one Cake Ball. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
