Lubbock Stars & Stripes Drive-In – Best Drive-In Theaters

Lubbock – Stars & Stripes Drive-In

The Stars & Stripes Drive-In features three screens and is open year-round on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Each screen shows two first-run films back-to-back each evening. What really sets this drive-in apart is its onsite 50’s Café, featuring a full dinner menu of drive-in friendly food like burgers and boxed meals. The Chihuahua sandwich is the 50’s Café’s specialty, featuring two crispy corn tortillas topped with homemade chili, pimento cheese, shredded cabbage and onions with a jalapeno on the side. Sounds pretty amazing, considering the stale hot dogs you get at some movie theaters. Arrive early so the kids can play on the playground and you can snag a good spot. Know before you go: Dogs are allowed as long as they’re kept in the car or leashed at all times.
