Allen – Hydrous at Allen Station
Hydrous at Allen Station is only the third wakeboarding park of its kind in the state of Texas and features three cable wakeboard systems—a pair of System 2.0 parks flank the main cable. Read: no boats. One tower system is devoted strictly to newbies and the faint of heart, while true shredders are challenged by UNIT Rails and Kickers imported from Germany—including the first pipe rail and only quarter pipe in the world.
Austin – FreeRide Wakeboard School
Founded by two-time Vans Triple Crown National winner and World Champion wakeboarder Billy Garcia, FreeRide is the gold standard or Texas wakeboarding schools. This Lake Austin school is geared toward everyone—pro’s, kids, parents and beginners! They’ll teach you beginner basics, beginner and intermediate tricks, advanced inverts and spins and even contest training.
Fort Worth – WakeSport Ranch
The first cable-operated wakeboard lake in DFW, WakeSport Ranch features six towers, allowing for easier turns, and loads of obstacles like a fun box, A-frame, and an adjustable wedge and kicker.
New Braunfels – Texas Ski Ranch
Texas Ski Ranch is one of only a handful of cableways in the U.S.! No boat required, TSR has two cable lakes. Each cableway can tow up to six wakeboarders, skiers or kneeboarders at any given time. Beginners need not worry—there’s an extremely experienced staff available, and there’s also the new Little Bro cable, which has a two-tower inline system.
