Kingsville – King Ranch Saddle Shop

King Ranch’s beautiful line of leather goods came about as a result of the Civil War. Once the war ended, Captain King realized the need not only for men, horses and cattle, but for superior gear. He needed saddles that were durable, yet lightweight, comfortable to ride, yet easy on the horses backs. He was unable to find such gear, so he hired craftsmen who could make them, and he soon started his own saddlery. Since then, King Ranch Saddle Shop (located at the historic King Ranch) has become synonymous with beautiful, quality ranching supplies.
