Watching that basketball game in your living room gets kind of old, right? Ever wanted to watch from somewhere else, but didn’t know where to go? It’s way more fun with other people. Here are some of the top places to go watch the game. Many of them offer even more entertainment than the game, and most importantly, food!
1. Christies Sports Bar and Grill
“Restaurant, Sports, Cocktails, Games”—the marquee says it all! Christies is located in the Uptown Arts District on the West side of McKinney Ave. Grab a 12” pizza for as cheap as $10 to eat while you watch the games. Or sit outside on the patio and enjoy some nice weather. If that’s not enough entertainment, play some pool or even beer pong! And don’t forget to grab a bottle of their original BBQ sauce before you leave.
If you like specials, this is the place to go. With a special nearly every day of the week, your best bet to find some cheap tacos as part of “Texas Tuesday,” and cheap wings on Thursday, all while watching basketball, is here. Of course, drinks were not forgotten! Happy hour is Monday through Friday, 11am to 6pm!
Tired of watching basketball on a TV? You are in luck! Catch The Mavericks playing a game at American Airlines Center. It’s way better than sitting on your couch yelling at your TV screen like a weirdo. Here, you have thousands of other people doing the same thing that you normally do in the comfort of your living room.
4. Shooters
Ever left a Mavericks game still in the mood for something to do? Walk on over to Shooters. They’re open late and ready for some basketball fans. It’s located at the AT&T Plaza just outside of American Airlines Center. Their specialty is the tacos. How could you go wrong with tacos and basketball?
This place is perfect for the college student. It’s been voted the best patio in Texas and when you visit, you will definitely see why! Katy Trail Ice House is located in Uptown Dallas. There’s food, a bar, TV’s to watch the game, and plenty of space on that patio to mingle with your friends.
