Here in Texas, we take our stock shows and rodeos VERY seriously. With rodeo season right around the corner, it’s time to gussy up your finest boots and cowboy hat for some of the best down-home country fun you can have!

Houston Stock Show and Rodeo

When: February 27 – March 17

Houston is the largest city in Texas, and with a city of that size, you need a truly amazing show to meet your needs. The 2024 Houston Stock Show and Rodeo is that show, and it’ll be up and running in H-Town from February 27th to March 17th. Bring the whole family down and experience an unforgettable experience, with unique and engaging activities like The Calf Scramble, The Junction, The Rodeo Run, The Ranching & Wildlife Expo, and many more. Take a trip down to Houston and join in on the fun, you’ll be glad you did! 

Rodeo Austin 

When: March 8 – 23

Austin is known for being the capital of Texas and is an incredibly eccentric city, but did you know that it is also home to one of the best stock shows and rodeos in the country? Rodeo Austin has been a staple of “Hippie Haven” for nearly 90 years and will be returning for another year of fun from March 8th to 23rd.

From it’s origins as a general stock show with an average showcase of 16 livestock, the event has since grown tremendously and now includes more than 8,000 animals, various concerts, an extravagant and lively fair, and some of the best BBQ in the State of Texas. Be sure to bring the whole family for an unforgettable experience this March! 

Ellis County Livestock Show and Rodeo

When: March 21 – 30

Giddy up partner, because it’s rodeo season in Texas! You won’t want to miss 10 days of PRCA performances, outdoor concerts, classic fair food, and more.

San Angelo Livestock Show and Rodeo

When: April 5 – 21

West Texas is home to many beautiful landscapes and interesting towns, and San Angelo is well worth a visit when traversing this side of Lone Star State. The San Angelo Livestock Show and Rodeo was first established in 1932 and is now known as one of the largest livestock shows in the entire country, with an average pool of over 14,000 entries.

The rodeo is in a league of its own, with an average of over 1,500 contestants all competing to take home the gold. Not only is there a livestock show and rodeo, but the event also features several other incredibly exciting experiences like a massive car show, a mouth-watering cook-off, adrenaline-pumping roping competitions, and much more.
