If it seems like everyone you know just got engaged, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re the one with some new bling on the ring finger! With every new year comes new wedding trends and we’re breaking them down for you.

Pop of Color

Yes, the bride’s dress is white (duh), but what if you want to kick it up a notch and make it extra unique? How does one do that, you might ask? Embellishments, bows, and jewelry to name a few ways.

This bride (pictured above) coordinated her bridesmaids’ gowns and her flowers with the colors in her embellishments. There were butterflies in the embroidery so she wore butterfly earrings to match, as did her bridesmaids. To tie it all together, literally, the groom wore a velvet tux jacket which coordinated with the velvet belt on her dress. She even put butterfly wallpaper on the front of the bar stations at her reception!

Gloves Are Back

Gloves are back and better than ever! Don’t get us wrong, gloves are truly timeless. But with every staple product you have in your closet, their popularity ebbs and flows.

For the bride, sheer, long gloves have been all the rage, especially with pearl embellishments. Don’t forget about the bridesmaids, though! Matching gloves and gowns for your bridesmaids might just be that special added touch you’re looking for!

Unique Veils

Classics are classics for a reason! But if you’re looking to change something up without making granny dizzy, a one-of-a-kind veil may be just for you. Some of our recent favorites include veils with writing on them or embellishments like pearls or butterflies.

Disco Balls Everywhere

It’s time to get funky y’all. Disco balls are very 2023 energy. Whether you’re sticking to a trendy theme like Disco Cowboy–the perfect combo of sparkly and Texas, in our humble opinion–or just looking to add a bit of retro pizzazz to your special night, disco balls are the way to go.

Incorporate them into your flower arrangements or table centers, have one (or a dozen) hang above the dance floor, or use them as a part of your welcome sign or photo op.

Bridesmaids Gowns

No matter who you ask, there’s always a different “correct” way to dress your bridesmaids. So we’re gonna break down our top two styles that align with 2023 wedding trends.

First, you have your colorful bridesmaids. This is perhaps the most relaxed style to choose from, allowing your bridal party to dress in the color that suits them best! Typically you’ll want to stick with your wedding colors, but each girl is free to choose the style that fits each unique girl. Sounds like a bridezilla’s worst nightmare.

Up next is the classic bridesmaids. These are the cream and champagne colors you’ve seen and loved for generations. Since everything that’s old is new again, this neutral color pallet is shining bright in 2023.

Desserts

If cake isn’t your thing, this is a 2023 wedding trend you’re going to love. While the bride and groom may have a small cake to cut into for the photos, dessert bars for guests are increasing in popularity. Sweets like mini bundt cakes, cookies and milk, a donut station; pretty much any treat are sure to get a round of applause from all those in attendance.

Ceremony and Reception Outfits

Did someone say outfit change?! After the ceremony, brides are changing into a second fit for the reception for peak comfort, style, and just cause they can! Our favorite options are going from gowns to jumpsuits or sequin dresses for maximum dance floor effectiveness.

Vintage vibes

Ring ring, the ’90s are calling. Vintage is king in 2023 weddings and the trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon. Think about adding film cameras at every table for guests to take photos. Use a polaroid at the photo booth.

Along the same lines, some brides and grooms are even thrifting their venue decor, dishware, and furniture to add a unique touch of character to the evening.

Color Guides for Guests

We all know that feeling when you get a wedding invite in the mail (or email in 2023) and you spot the line “black tie optional.” Gone are the days of being vague with your dress code. Sure, you can stick with the black tie rule, but don’t hesitate to be specific with less formal weddings too. Invite your guests to wear cool colors for a winter wedding or bright colors for the summer. Do the bride and groom have a favorite color? Go all out and have fun with it!

Last Dance

Ultimately, this whole evening is about the love shared between the newlywed, so what better way to demonstrate that than with a private last dance? Have everyone clear out of the venue, perhaps they’re lining up the walk to the getaway car with sparklers, and have the bride and groom share the last dance in private before they walk out into the world as a married couple.
