Growing up in San Antonio, Rebecca Rucker always appreciated the vibrant embroidery and colorful textiles of the local Mexican culture; however, it wasn’t until a memory of an artisanal Mexican table runner she had once seen displayed at a friend’s house, did she consider creating Rebecca Kyle Designs. Fueled by her love of fashion design and rich textiles, she created a line of handcrafted handbags for the modern woman, inspired by the ornate handmade textiles of the indigenous Otomi community of Mexico. Rebecca creates each bag with artisanal authenticity, making them one-of-a-kind pieces.

Every bag begins its journey as part of a muslin panel, hand-embroidered by a family of artisans in Mexico’s Puebla region. When the panels arrive in Fort Worth, Rebecca blocks out the individual bag fronts to ensure every bag has its own unique design. She then personally chooses accompanying leather colors before they are sent to New York, where a team of leather crafters hand-sews each one to her specifications. The debut Rebecca Kyle, a stylish cross-body that doubles as a clutch, blends traditional textiles with colorful, high-quality leather in a variety of bright colors along with a Kelly green leather lining, her brand signature, for a modern look.
