With Spring in full swing, it’s time to check out some of the exciting events going on in Texas. You can stop and smell the roses, go to the fair, and so much more!

 

March 31 – April 10: San Antonio – Fiesta

San Antonio comes to life during Fiesta with the annual celebration honoring its history and culture! Throughout this event, you can expect parades, carnivals, fun runs, jazz bands, Battle of the Flowers Parade, Pilgrimage to the Alamo and so much more! This iconic event brings millions of visitors to San Antonio and creates an economic impact of more than $340.1 million.

Growing from a single parade event in 1891, the original event honored the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of Jacinto. For a full guide on the Fiesta events, read here.

 

April 7 – 10: Fort Worth – Main Street Arts Festival

Head to Fort Worth to take part in the city’s largest and most popular event, Main Street Arts Festival offering fine art, dance performances, live music, food and so much more! With over 200 juried artists lining the red bricks of Main Street and art displayed in every medium imaginable, it is sure to be a good time. The event features a menu as big as Texas so you will not go hungry at this weekend-long event. Everything from crawfish to fresh blended smoothies and a fun selection of Texas wine for the 21 and over crowd will be available. In addition to all of the incredible art and tasty treats, the live music lineup includes national and local acts! 

 

March 25 – April 10: Tyler – Azalea & Spring Flower Trail

Head over to east Texas for the Azalea & Spring Flower Trail in Tyler. The annual event and floral wonderland is a hit every spring with 10 miles of beautiful residential gardens and historic homes! The trail is full of blooming azaleas and dogwoods that are perfect for a photo op. 

 

March 18 – 27: Waxahachie – Tulipalooza

A field of a 300,000 tulips! Tulipalooza at Poston Gardens will have you head-over-heels for spring with their gorgeous fields of tulips and other flowers waiting to be handpicked by you and your favorite people! The tulips bloom across the 60-acre site farmed by experts. 

Tulipalooza is about more than just flowers. Visit this year to enjoy live music performances, local vendors, sponsor tents and food trucks—all while helping to raise funds for 13 leading North Texas charities. At Poston Gardens, visitors can experience Dutch culture, take home tulips, and most importantly, give back to the community! 

 

March 25 – 27: Frisco – Texas Pinball Festival

The Texas Pinball Festival is a one-of-a-kind event, where a 40,000 square foot room is transformed into the ultimate game room. There will be vendors selling various supplies, memorabilia, pinballs and more. If you’re looking to trade some of your used items, you’re in luck! The DFW Pinball and Arcade Club will host an outdoor flea market and swap meet, and one lucky winner will take home a new pinball machine from their annual TPF raffle! This event begins at 5pm on Friday until 1am, and will conclude on Sunday around 2:30.

 

March 24 – April 3: Beaumont – South Texas State Fair

Dust off your boots and head out to Beaumont to catch the South Texas State Fair & Rodeo. Ditch your summer diet for a day and indulge in everything fried and on a stick you can imagine (think funnel cake, corn dogs, cheesecake, and pickles). Bring the kiddos and check out the classic carnival rides, livestock show and exotic petting zoo, or if you’re flying solo, check out the Miller Lite Beer Garden for adult beverages!

 

Saturday, March 26th: Plano – Texas Forever Fest 

Sponsored by HEB, The Texas Forever Fest is packed full of fun activities, Western entertainment, Texas-favorite food and drink, a BBQ cookoff and much more. Also, check out the live musical performances by Roger Creager, Hayden Haddock, The Tejas Brothers, Walt Wilkins, George Dunham with Pat Green, and Texas Flood! This event is free and open to all ages, and with activities like bull-riding and a photo opportunity with Rowdy the Dallas Cowboys mascot, you MUST mark this on your calendar!

This event will last from 11am – 6pm.

 

March 17 – April 16: Allen – Watters Creek Spring Photos with Bunnies

Silver Star Pictures is partnering with foster families of Wild Rescue, Inc for you to get the most charming spring photos of your kiddos with live bunnies. Starting March 17th, Allen Watters Creek will be hosting this photo shoot every Thursday-Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome, but just to be safe, make sure to schedule your photo session online here!
