New Celebrity Beauty Brands & Product Drops
Is it just us, or does it seem like the beauty world has been rocked by celebrity brands and collaborations? Stars of both the YouTube and Hollywood variety are shining bright this season, dropping products that definitely make our A-list!
Anything for Selenas! The Queen of Tejano Music is being honored, 25 years after her untimely death, with a sequel to the wildly popular MAC x Selena collection released in 2016. While that collection was inspired by Selena Quintanilla’s iconic looks, including her signature red lip, Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, says this sequel’s purpose is to honor and celebrate her sister’s legacy and their Latina heritage. While the new products are being kept under wraps until the reveal this spring, we do know some of the original hits will be making a comeback. Dear Bidi Bidi Bom Bom lipglass: we’ll be Dreaming Of You until this collection drops in April.
Jeffree Star Blood Lust Collection
Makeup artist turned internet celeb Jeffree Star dropped his third eyeshadow palette-centered collection on Friday, February 21st. The Blood Lust collection was aesthetically driven by notoriously difficult-to-perfect amethyst hues. Star is serving us purple shadows that actually produce pigment payoff, accompanied by a highlighter, mini matte lipsticks, and a selection of glosses. When it comes to spring makeup trends, purple reigns!
Haus Laboratories by Lady Gaga
A star is born! Mother Monster’s creative juices have overflowed into the cosmetics industry, producing a collection with just as much care and attention to detail as she puts into producing a record. Gaga explains, “They have themes. They’re thought out. Everything from the shades to the different variations.” Recognizing that makeup can have a dual purpose as a creative outlet, Gaga developed this brand with self-expression in mind.
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette Volume II
Ring the alarm because this palette is FIRE. JacAttack is back with the sophisticated big sister to her smash hit original Morphe collab, the Jaclyn Hill Palette. Featuring Jaclyn’s exclusive formula with Morphe, these eyeshadows and pressed pigments are here to SLAY. Thanks to the wide variety of warm-toned colors, the looks this palette can produce are endless, from everyday neutrals to all-out glamazon!
