Fall is officially here and we’re getting into the spirit of the season with these events across Texas this October. From food and wine festivals and art shows to shopping pop-ups and Dia De Los Muertos, you won’t want to miss these festivities.

Fredericksburg – Oktoberfest (September 30 – October 2)
Buckle up for a weekend full of music, yodeling contests, shopping, 50 varieties of beer, Texas Wine Country selection and great food at this annual Fredericksburg festival.

Richardson – Cottonwood Art Festival (October 1 & 2)
One of Texas’ best juried art shows returns featuring 200+ artists from across DFW, Texas, and beyond! The museum-quality pieces pair perfectly with live music, food trucks, and local vendors.

San Angelo – San Angelo Food + Wine Festival (October 6)
Raise a glass! Explore wines from vineyards across West Texas and craft beers you’re sure to love plus food from top chefs and restaurateurs from the area. Grab your tickets before it’s too late!

Gruene – 36th Annual Gruene Music & Wine Festival (October 6-9)
Live music and Texas wine in one weekend… what’s not to love?! As if we need another reason to visit, proceeds from this Texas October event benefits the United Way of Comal County.

Denton – Denton Art & Jazz Festival (October 7-9)
Head to Denton’s Quakertown Park for this free event featuring seven stages of non-stop music, arts and crafts and games for the whole family.

Austin – ACL Music Festival (October 7-9 & October 14-16)
One of the country’s largest celebrations of music, this six-day festival brings Zilker Park alive more than 140 musical acts on eight stages over two weekends.

Pearland – Art On the Pavilion  (October 8-9)
Let’s get artsy! Experience the best artists from across the state while shopping local vendors, chowing down on food trucks & taking in some live music.

San Angelo – Paintbrush Market Days (October 15)
Paintbrush Alley transforms into a shoppers paradise! Get ready for a full day of local vendors, artists, music, children’s activities, and food. Family and pet friendly!

El Paso – Way Out West Fest (October 15)
Way out West Fest is back for El Paso’s own country music festival! In true Texas fashion, you can expect chili, margaritas, beer, and country music!

Richardson – Huffines Harvest Fest (October 15-16)
The two-day festival celebrates local makers, food vendors, live music and family fun along the trails of Huffhines Park. Don’t miss Pawtoberfest on the 15th!

Plano – Plano Food and Wine Festival (October 22)
This festival will feature over 100 award-winning wines, food from delicious local restaurants, culinary demos from local chefs and many local boutiques and shops! Tickets have sold out the past few years, get yours while you can!

Fredericksburg – 32nd Annual Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival (October 22)
This is guaranteed to be a day full of the best wine, delicious cuisine and entertainment for everyone in the heart of the Texas Hill Country! From the Great Gargantuan Grape Toss to the live music, you won’t want to miss this event!

Fort Worth – Water Lantern Festival (October 22)

Austin – Austin Film Festival (October 27 – November 3)

Pearland – Boutique Shop & Hop (October 29)

Waxahachie – Texas Country Reporter (October 29)
This one-day arts and music festival takes place around the historic courthouse square in downtown Waxahachie. PS… admission is free!

El Paso – Dia De Los Muertos Parade (October 29)
The day-long event will include the popular and highly anticipated Day of the Dead parade featuring a plenty of festivities to commemorate lives lived.

Dallas – Autumn at The Arboretum (Ends October 31)
