As one of the state’s most unique cities, El Paso serves up everything from sky rides, to a day trip to Mexico, to White Sands National Park. The birth place of the margarita and the Boot Capital of Texas, El Paso is an intriguing destination offering adventure for your summer getaway.
Our editors were surprised to find the Wyler Aerial Tramway, a not-to-be-missed activity in your El Paso adventure.
Located at Franklin Mountain State Park, the tramway is a 4-minute journey each way that will send you soaring. Overlooking three states and two countries, the Swiss-made gondolas travel along a 2,600 ft. steel cable offering a view of 195,742 acres of dramatic terrain. Once you are at the top of Ranger Peak, 5,632 ft. above sea level, be sure to enjoy the 7,000 square mile view of rugged mountain, rock formations, cacti, and abundant wildlife. This should be on your bucket list—it’s that cool!
