The South Congress Bridge Bats are just one of the many things that make Austin so (weirdly) cool! Take advantage of this one-of-a-kind evening sight that you’ll enjoy whether you’re a bat lover or not.
From March through November, the South Congress Bridge Bats take flight between 5:30-6:30 PM every night! The free “show” takes place for about 45 minutes. Be sure to get there early for a spot on the bridge or nearby lawn to enjoy the view of 1.5 million bats dancing over Lady Bird Lake.
