Plano’s skies are about to light up! At the annual Plano Balloon Festival Oak Point Park will transform into a weekend-long extravaganza where you can watch hundreds of colorful hot air balloons soar overhead and partake in all of the activities the festival has to offer. This can’t-miss event in North Texas is a celebration of all things balloons in order to create a family-friendly, high-quality event that gives back to the community and local non-profits.
You’ll find something for everyone at this event! Jam out at the KLUV main stage, catch the custom designed spectacular fireworks show Friday and Saturday night, watch the Texas parachute team all four days, munch on a variety of food that will make your mouth water, shop the merchandise and handmade products or even run a 5K. The options are endless!
The balloons begin launching Thursday and Friday afternoon and again on Saturday and Sunday morning. Every night, make sure to catch the balloon glow where the sky is illuminated with balloons of every color.
General admission tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 3-12, and free for kids 36 inches and under. For all-day play in the Kids Fun Zone including countless inflatable attractions and mechanical rides, grab a wristband for only $20.
The Plano Balloon Festival typically takes place in September.
