Richardson is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the semi-annual, award-winning Cottonwood Art Festival! Back in 1969, the local artists who gathered in Cottonwood Park to showcase their artwork had no idea the successful future the festival had in store. Five decades later, Cottonwood is one of the most renowned art festivals in the entire country!
Expand your art collection by purchasing from the museum-quality artwork displayed by more than 240, juror selected, artists! Jam out to top local bands performing the best in rock, country, jazz, blues, swing and folk. Bring the little ones and explore the ArtStop Children’s Area where they can express their inner creativity through painting, weaving, sculpting or even learning about other cultures through art. If you’re looking for an adults-only day, sip cocktails in the courtyard and browse through the different booths. Check out the festival website for detailed artist information, and download the festival app for the latest news!
This event typically takes place in May and October.
