Come out for Waco’s annual Sertoma Kite Festival the first Saturday of May! Bright colors and interesting designs will fill the windy sky this weekend in one of Texas’ largest kite festivals. The festival is hosted by the Sertoma Service Club and H.O.T Miniature Aircraft Club and all net proceeds benefit the hearing impaired children of Central Texas. Admission is FREE, so grab a lawn chair and pick a spot to enjoy miniature aircraft demonstrations and live music, or grab some food and drinks from local vendors, and of course—a chance to fly your kite in the festival. Kites of all shapes and sizes are allowed, so bring your favorite and join in on the fun!
