Holiday Events in West Texas
Some of our favorite folks live in West Texas and boy do they know how to celebrate Christmas! Here are a few of our “can’t miss” celebrations.
San Angelo:
Concho Christmas Celebration – December 1-31, 2023
The Concho Christmas Celebration encompasses a 2.5 mile drive along the banks of the Concho River featuring over 3 million lights in the tour. This year’s event and festivities include the well-known ‘Tour of Lights’, a Live Nativity scene, the annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony and Lights of Christmas Parade, the opportunity to take a bicycle ride with Santa and so much more. Don’t miss out on all the fun this holiday season in San Angelo!
Christmas at Old Fort Concho – December 1-3, 2023
Kick off the holiday season by visiting Fort Concho’s largest annual event. Each day at Fort Concho visitors can experience the Winter Rendezvous, campsites with hundreds of re-enactors and period traders who bring the 1800s to life.
El Paso:
WinterFest – November 18, 2023 – January 1, 2024
Visit El Paso’s own winter wonderland as the Downtown Arts Festival Plaza decks the halls with holiday lights and decor. Bring the family along for a memorable ring around the outdoor ice skating rink and check off your list with must-have gifts from local vendors and boutiques. And don’t miss out on free showings of holiday films at the Plaza Theatre!
Merry-Achi Christmas – December 23, 2023
What better way to immerse yourself in an El Paso Christmas than with the legendary Mariachi Sol de Mexico?! The award-winning, 13-piece ensemble is sure to have your toes tapping to the beat of a whole different holiday drum.
