Holiday Sing-Along & Downtown Stroll – December 1

54th Annual Trail of Lights – December 10 – 31
The Trail of Lights is part of the essential Austin experience, lighting up the season with a celebration of community, memories and fun. The annual Tree Lighting ceremony will be held in November in Zilker Park, then the 5k fun run will kick off the spectacular season in early December. Plan your visit early and don’t forget to take a spin under the Zilker Tree!
Armadillo Christmas Bazaar – December 13 – 24
This holiday shopping bazaar is a fun, authentic Austin experience – for the 11 days leading up to Christmas, visitors can shop national and local art, handmade gifts, stocking stuffers and more while enjoying live music from the Armadillo stage and sips from a full bar at the Palmer Events Center. This annual tradition and cultural icon is one of Austin’s longest running art and music festivals, attracting around 40,000 shoppers each year.
Christmas Home Tour and Market – December 1
View the Texas Hill Country’s most popular home tour which shows off fabulous homes all decked out for Christmas. The Market features 21 boutique vendors selling one-of-a-kind artisan merchandise perfect for finding the perfect gift for the holiday season.
Light the Night Christmas Parade & Afterglow – December 7
Enjoy even more twinkling lights at the Chamber’s Light the Night Christmas Parade on Friday, December 7. Bring your chairs and blankets and watch the glittering floats go down Main Street for free or if you want a VIP experience, purchase tickets to view the parade from the stands located across from Marktplatz. Then take pictures with Santa and enjoy some holiday eats and cheer at the Afterglow at Marktplatz.
Ford Fiesta de las Luminarias – November 30 – December 16
Experience the holiday serenity of the River Walk as you stroll along the lush banks of the San Antonio River guided by more than 2,000 Luminarias at night. This centuries old tradition begins at dusk Friday through Sunday only, November 30-December 2, December 7-9, and December 14-16. Luminarias are a traditional Mexican Christmas lantern originally consisting of a candle set in sand inside a small paper bag. These River Walk Luminarias are a little different in that the flame doesn’t go out. Enjoy the Holiday lights overhead, the luminarias along the banks of the river, and the Ford Holiday Boat Caroling floating by while you stroll or as you enjoy a frothy hot beverage or exquisite meal along the River Walk.
SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration – Now – January 6
SeaWorld San Antonio is decking out the halls for its annual Christmas Celebration. Considered a wintery, watery wonderland, the event features Christmas shows, holiday lights, festive foods, visits with Santa Claus and more! The park is covered with 9 million lights, the largest Christmas light display in Texas, and guests can meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and friends. ‘Tis the season to create family memories, only found at SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration.
