Bike, bike, bike it up! Put your foot on the pedal and get going. There are hundreds of bike shops around the state that are just waiting for you to blaze your own trail. Before you can hit these cement roadways, check out your local bike shops to get everything you need to ride your way through campus.
The state not only has paved trails throughout the cities, but many of those trails have special lanes and additional trails that run directly through college campuses. Whether you’re a college student without a car, you’re looking to get a little extra exercise, or it’s just a hobby of yours, bikes are very popular way to get around in college towns.
Most campus rec centers have a designated sapce where you can rent outdoor equipment, such as bikes, canoes, tents, and so much more. You can also bring in bike equipment and have it repaired.
Austin

Fort Worth
In October of 2015, Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop opened another location just a few feet from the Trinity River and trails. This location cultivates a family-friendly healthy fitness community. The large building has a coffee shop and an outdoor patio alongside the building. Mellow Johnny’s is more than a store; it’s a full experience and day trip.
