It’s official, summer is here! Whether you’re looking to get into vacation mode or just ready to get the crew together for a night of unforgettable fun, we’ve rounded up the 23 must-do events in Texas happening this June. From Juneteenth celebrations in Austin and Beaumont to foodie paradises like Nacogdoches’ Blueberry Festival or Fredericksburg’s Craft Beer Festival, June’s lineup of events is as big as Texas. Starting June 2: Amarillo – Texas the Musical
Nobody loves Texas more than…well, Texas. That’s why there’s an entire musical dedicated to telling the story of the Lone Star State. Grab your tickets to “Texas” the outdoor musical set in Palo Duro Canyon every Tuesday through Saturday until August 13th.

June 2: Plano – Happy Birthday Plano Party at The Texas Pool
Grab a birthday hat and your bathing suit, because we’re saying congrats for the big 1-4-9 in Plano, Texas. The city’s 149th birthday celebration is also the perfect excuse to dive into The Texas Pool. The fan favorite Texas-shaped swimming pool is a summer bucket list must-do.

June 2-5: Fredericksburg – Hill Country Film Festival
Join Fredericksburg for the annual Hill Country Film Festival in a town-wide celebration and showcase of filmmakers from both Texas and around the world. The Hill Country Film Festival (HCFF) screens over 85 independent films (short and feature length). This event will host panel discussions, nightly festival parties and filmmaker Q&A’s!

June 3-4: Addison – Taste of Addison
Eat, drink, be legendary – sounds like our kind of weekend! For over 20 years, Taste of Addison has been serving up delicious food & wine, iconic live music, and family fun to North Texans. Buy your tickets now before it’s too late and check out their entertainment lineup to prepare to jam out all weekend.

June 4-5: Waxahachie – Gingerbread Trail Home Tour
Five turn-of-the century homes will be open to the public during the Annual Gingerbread Trail Home Tour. Step into a time-gone-by as current residents of the homes share the history, haunting and glory days of their treasured homes.

June 6, 13 & 20: Allen – Summer Sounds: Concerts in the Park Series
Monday blues… and Monday rock ‘n roll and Monday soul and Monday funk. Start off your week at Allen’s Summer Sounds Concert in the Park series featuring a selection of live music you won’t want to miss. Plus, the first 1,000 people get FREE In-n-Out meals each week.

June 6 & 20: Plano – Summer Concerts in the Park
Supporting local musicians has never been easier thanks to the Summer Concerts in the Park by the Plano Community Band. Pack up a blanket or chairs and head over to Haggard Park for a relaxing night of music. Pro tip: stop by Downtown Plano‘s assortment of restaurants like Urban Rio and Lockhart Smokehouse beforehand to make a night out of it.

June 10 & 11: Fredericksburg – Fredericksburg Craft Beer Festival
Saturday’s are for cracking open a cold one with your boys (and girls)! Mark your calendars for the inaugural Fredericksburg Craft Beer Festival for a day of beer samples, local music, a food court, and more. Plus, 20% of the ticket sales are donated to charity, so you really have no excuse not to attend.

June 11: Nacogdoches – Texas Blueberry Festival
Prepare for the most delicious event of the year because the Texas Blueberry Festival is here! The day-long celebration is a smorgasbord of activities including live music, blueberry picking, auto exhibits, shopping and restaurant specials.

June 16-18: Stonewall – Peach JAMboree & Rodeo
A whole weekend to celebrate peaches? Yes, please! The Peach JAMboree weekend activities include peach judging, crowning of the Peach Queen, a parade, food, music and a rodeo.

June 18: Austin – Central Texas Juneteenth Celebration
Kick off your weekend of Juneteenth celebrations with the Central Texas Juneteenth Parade. Afterward, head over to Rosewood & Boggy Creek Park for a day of live entertainment, food booths, shopping vendors, and more community fun. Once the sun sets, look up to catch an incredible fireworks display.

June 18: Waxahachie – Junk in the Trunk
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! Junk in the Trunk returns to the Waxahachie square and it’s one of our favorite vintage markets around. Continue your treasure hunt at the city’s countless antique stores including favorites like Old Town Village Antiques and Atelier Antiques.

June 18: San Angelo – Paintbrush Alley Market Days After Dark
Shop local and have fun while doing it! Paintbrush Alley Market Days kicks off at 7pm for an evening of shopping, food trucks, and local music.

June 18: Austin – Soul Food Truck Fest
It’s back! The legendary Soul Food Truck Festival returns to Austin for Juneteenth weekend – giving us all the tastes of Texas we could dream of. The celebration of African-American food, community, culture and heritage will feature 12 unique food trucks serving everything from soul and Cajun to Southern comfort and classic BBQ.

June 19: Beaumont – Juneteenth Celebration
Get ready to enjoy live entertainment from well-known funk headliner, Original Lakeside, along with music from Keeshea Pratt and DJ Upgrayedd, food trucks, a car show, BBQ Cookoff, fireworks, and more! The Juneteenth celebration is happening right on Downtown Beaumont’s Main Street and is free to the public.

June 24: Frisco – Taste of the Cowboys
Calling all lovers of food and football! Get your game face on, because this event is just for you. In collaboration with the North Texas Food Bank, the Dallas Cowboys is hosting it’s 18th Annual Taste of the Cowboys featuring gourmet tailgate foods, alumni players, and live entertainment.

June 25: Austin – Pride in Local Music Festival
June is Pride Month, so what better way to show your colors and rock on with some of the best LGBTQ around at the Pride in Local Music Festival?! The 2022 lineup includes icons like Brian Justin Crum, Bleached Roses, and the OG queen herself, Bebe Zahara Benet.

June 25: Allen – Market Street Allen USA Celebration
The entire family will love the Market Street Allen USA Celebration, which is Allen’s largest community event of the year! You can expect 12 different activities including food, tailgating, a splash zone, a Jurassic zone, live entertainment and more.

June 25: Wylie – Bluegrass on Ballard
Looking to jam the night away? Bluegrass on Ballard is the place to be. The Jubilee features live music by world-class bluegrass bands as well as an amazing car show, arts and crafts, and much more.

June 25-26: Austin – City Wide Garage Sale
Ready for a treasure hunt? Look no further than Austin’s famed City-Wide Garage Sale. The vintage market is the perfect way to discover everything from home décor and retro knick-knacks to clothing and accessories.

Fridays: Pearland – Concerts in the Park 
Kick back, relax, and enjoy the tunes of the night at Pearland’s Concerts in the Park. Bring out the whole family (including your furry friends) every Friday through June.

Fridays & Saturdays: San Antonio – Fiesta Noche del Rio
As if San Antonio’s River Walk couldn’t be more memorable, the Fiesta Noche del Rio enters the scene. Starting at 8:30pm every Friday and Saturday of June, take in the sights and sounds of colorful performances featuring the songs and dances of Mexico, Spain, Argentina and Texas

Saturdays: Allen – Concerts by the Creek
Every Saturday in May you can enjoy Concerts by the Creek at Montgomery Farm. Each performance is free to the public so bring your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready to enjoy an exciting concert by the creek.
