Fall Events in Richardson
Cooler weather is blowing in and the leaves are starting to change – fall is officially here! Get excited, because Richardson is hosting some events this season that will get you in the spirit. Become one with art, explore a world of music and theater and celebrate with your four-legged best friend (because dogs are family, too). We’re ready to enjoy the fall festivities, and we challenge you to join us in the fun!
October 5th and 6th are all about art in Richardson! Cottonwood is one of the most prestigious art festivals in the country with 50 years of success to prove it! Over 240 juried artists showcase their work and celebrate their trade. Museum-quality pieces adorn booths, stages light up with musical performances, a children’s art center allows creativity to blossom and festival fare is available to crush your cravings.
The Richardson Symphony Orchestra is kicking off its 58th season on October 12th and we’re here for it! French, German and Russian pieces have been meticulously rehearsed and perfected for opening night. Turn this evening into date night or bring your family and explore different cultures through music.
Man’s best friend is taking the lead on October 19th! Pawtoberfest is no ordinary day at the park – you can jump around to live music, order delicious bites from food trucks and dress it up in the doggie costume contest. This event takes place on day one of the annual Huffhines Art Trails event, so take a walk around and soak up all the views. Your pup will be in heaven all day long at this four-legged festival!
You’ll want to redecorate after attending the 43rd annual Huffhines Art Trails on October 19th through the 20th! With over 130 artists and craftsmen showing off their best work, this event makes for a great shopping experience. You can get unique pieces for your home or even do a little early holiday shopping to surprise your loved ones! Enjoy live music on two stages, craft beer gardens, food trucks and some dog-friendly fun at Pawtoberfest on Saturday.
Experience a variety of events at the Eisemann Center this fall. Every month the Eisemann Center impresses us with the assortment of entertainers that grace its stage! This season, you can expect everything from ballets to puppet parody shows. Check out the calendar to see all of the events!
